EDISON - Experts say even though Gov. Chris Christie has lost 40 pounds so far after having weight loss surgery in February, the governor still has a difficult road ahead.

Psychologist Gary Goldberg says patients who undergo this kind of surgery have to make major life changes in order to be successful. Most important, Goldberg says, is learning how not to use food as a crutch.

Christie said the decision to have the surgery was personal, and doesn't want to be considered a role model for weight loss.
