Gov. Christie's job approval highest for any governor in 17 years

EDISON - Gov. Chris Christie is enjoying soaring approval numbers across the Garden State.

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows the governor has scored a 74 percent job approval rating.

It's the highest score any governor has received in the last 17 years.

According to the poll, 83 percent of voters said they did not know enough about State Sen. Barbara Buono to elect her governor. She announced her gubernatorial candidacy in December.
