Gov. Christie outlines 'reform agenda'

EDISON - Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) kicked off a series of town hall discussions today to unveil his reform agenda.

Christie held his first public forum at the Packanack Lake Country Club in Wayne this morning. The governor said his reform agenda will focus on ethics laws, public pensions, education and public sector job growth.

"When I became governor, I made a promise to the people of New Jersey that I would use every power and authority of this office and every ounce of my energy to make their lives better, bring accountability and responsibility to their government and give them hope for a better future in our state," said Christie. "We have made great progress since January, but we can and must go further to fix our state. Today marks the next stage of our efforts to bring reform for a stronger New Jersey."

Christie will outline his plan to tackle the key issues at several upcoming town hall discussions later this month.

The governor will speak more about the plan on Wednesday. News 12 New Jersey and will be carrying Gov. Chris Christie's address live from Raritan starting at 10:30 a.m.
