The governor discussed cutting the budget and improving schools. He also gave an exclusive interview with News 12 New Jersey.

In the interview, he discussed how the national spotlight that's on him still leaves him surprised. He told News 12 New Jersey that he thinks it is because he speaks in a "very blunt, direct way, that people are not used to in politics." He says he thinks people enjoy that.

Christie also told News 12 New Jersey that even though he is flattered by all of the national attention he's been receiving, he's keeping his eye on what he needs to do in the Garden State, since that's what he was elected to do.
