Gov. Christie holds town hall event in Middlesex (3/26/13)

MIDDLESEX - Gov. Chris Christie held a town hall event today to promote his education system overhaul proposals.

The event was held in the gymnasium at the Parish Center at Our Lady of Mount Virgin in Middlesex.

The town hall event was held a day after the governor announced yesterday that New Jersey is taking over the troubled Camden school system. Camden becomes the fourth urban school district under state control, after Paterson, Newark, and Jersey City, and the first in southern New Jersey.

Christie also touched on several other topics including Sandy recovery, mental health and how to deal with violence in New Jersey.
