BERGENFIELD - Gov. Chris Christie held a town hall at Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Bergenfield today.
The governor addressed Sandy, his re-election campaign and unemployment at the meeting, which was his 106th town hall.
Residents also brought up issues such as education reform and tenure laws.
"We need to have a longer school day and a longer school year in my view," Christie told attendees. "Secondly, we need to have more effective teachers in the classroom."
Christie added that he wants to encourage parents to be more involved in their children's education.
