Gov. Christie heads to shore area for town hall

TOMS RIVER - Gov. Chris Christie will be back in Ocean County for another Superstorm Sandy-focused town hall.

The Republican governor will be in Toms River on Tuesday to hear from residents affected by last year's storm.

News 12 New Jersey will carry the event live on-air and online at News12.com

At a town hall meeting two weeks ago in Monmouth County, Gov. Christie heard complaints from residents still displaced by the storm.

Gov. Christie recently returned to holding town halls in loyal Republican areas, where he is known for commanding the crowd with a mix of straight talk and humor.

The possible 2016 presidential candidate has been carefully controlling his public appearances since an alleged political payback scandal erupted with revelations that his aides caused massive traffic backups as an act of retaliation.
