WOODBRIDGE - Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) held his ninth town hall of 2011 today.
News 12 New Jersey was at the town hall meeting as Christie continued to hammer away at Democrats in New Jersey and Washington.
When asked about his plans to reform the state's debt-ridden pension and benefits systems for public workers, the governor said "I'm doing this because I want you to have a pension."
Many public workers aren't buying it. Earlier this month, police officers protested the plan outside his office. Today, some of those same officers made their case outside the town hall.
The governor is hoping to energize Republicans, with all 120 seats in the Legislature open this election year.
