LITTLE FERRY - Gov. Chris Christie announced a new peer assistance program for firefighters and first responders today in Little Ferry.

The program will be focused on helping first responders cope with crisis situations.

More than 2,000 residents were evacuated from Little Ferry and neighboring Moonachie during Superstorm Sandy last fall.
