GOP hopeful Herman Cain picking up support in Garden State

MOUNT LAUREL - Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) has endorsed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for president. However, Herman Cain is gaining more support.

A poll out today shows Romney in a dead heat with Cain. Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan has become one of the most talked about policies during the GOP race.

Cain's has presented a three-part plan made up of a flat 9-percent income tax, a 9-percent corporate tax and a 9-percent national sales tax. It helped Cain stand out at Tuesday's Republican debate in New Hampshire.

At a news conference in Burlington County, Christie said a national sales tax won't work.

However, Cain does have his supporters in New Jersey. News 12 New Jersey has learned that the Bayshore Tea Party will announce this weekend that it will endorse him.
