ROSELLE - A woman, her two daughters and her mother were forced out of their home in Roselle after the man they thought was their landlord turned out not to own the house.

Gissell Bond found the three-bedroom home on Craigslist. She took a tour with the alleged owner and signed a lease agreeing to $1,600 a month in rent payments.

Bond soon received a gas bill for more than $2,000 addressed to the home's original owner, who had been dead for four years.

Police say the man posing as the landlord, Barton Hodge, repaired two foreclosed, vacant homes, then rented them out.

The bank is now telling Bond and her family to move out. She is in the process of trying to find a new home.
