NEWARK - Gilda's Club has opened a satellite clubhouse in Newark.

The new facility, which provides free support to cancer patients and their families, will be northern New Jersey's first in an urban area.

The center is located across the street from Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.

Gilda's Club was founded in memory of Gilda Radner. The "Saturday Night Live" comic died of ovarian cancer.
