NEW JERSEY - Hall of Fame basketball coach Bob Hurley has come up with a creative way to raise money for Saint Anthony High School in Jersey City.

Super Bowl MVP quarterback Phil Simms will be the guest of honor in a “roast” coming up next week. Also in attendance will be former coach Bill Parcells and other big names, Hurley says.

Four years after Hurley’s induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, he is still coaching at Saint Anthony. He would like to see the school stay open, and hopes the fundraiser will help.

Hurley says he is grateful that Simms has agreed to be the butt of jokes for a night, because it’s all for a good cause. Hurley says he is hoping to generate $10,000,000 for the school by 2020.

The roast will take place on June 12 at Casino in the Park in Jersey City.
