LODI - It was New Jersey's version of Old Faithful.
News 12 New Jersey received a report around 5 a.m. that a geyser in the Saddle River was shooting water 40-feet into the air.
The incident occurred near Felician University in Lodi.
Kevin Byrne, of Passaic Valley Water, says the geyser was caused by a blown valve on a six-inch water line in the river.
Crews shut down valves in Lodi and Garfield to suppress the spouting water.
Some residents in Wallington and parts of Lodi had low water pressure and discolored water for a time, but there was no reason for residents to be concerned.
The reason why the valve burst was not immediately released b y officials.
