FORT LEE - Crews have finished up overnight emergency repairs on the George Washington Bridge.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says two lanes on the outbound upper deck of the bridge were closed for repairs to the roadway last night.

The shutdown forced traffic out of the city to a standstill during last night's rush hour. Inbound lanes were not affected.
