Gay rights group protests at Union Twp. school meeting

UNION TOWNSHIP - Gay rights activists and angered citizens held a protest a school board meeting in Union Township tonight over a teacher who allegedly posted anti-gay remarks on her Facebook page.Viki Knox came under fire last week for allegedly calling homosexuality "perverted" and "a sin," and likening it to cancer.Organizers of tonight's rally say they're calling for the district to fire Knox, who is a high school teacher and faculty advisor to a prayer group. The school superintendent says the district takes the matter seriously and is investigating, but wouldn't comment further because he says it's a personnel matter.Union Twp. teacher gets heat for Facebook comments
