Gasoline rationing ends in New Jersey

MIDDLETOWN - New Jersey ended the odd-even gasoline rationing today at 6 a.m.

Gov. Chris Christie said at a news briefing yesterday that gas supplies are plentiful and there are no more lines of motorists waiting for fuel.

Christie imposed the rationing on Nov. 3 because some gas stations couldn't get fuel while others didn't have electricity to pump it.

The governor also said 98 percent of schools are opening and operating.

Christie also said utilities have restored power to nearly all of those who are able to receive it.
