OAKLAND - Police in North Bergen, Teaneck and Little Ferry are trying to determine whether a rash of similar robberies in the area are all connected.

It was the first day on the job for a gas station attendant in Little Ferry when he was robbed at knifepoint. The attendant decided not to return to work after the incident. Gas stations in the area have been on high alert ever since a knife-wielding robber began terrorizing attendants.

Victor Shah, who manages a gas station on Tonnelle Avenue, says he's never seen such fear. He says everyone is scared to work at night and he has been unable to hire people to work.
