EDISON - Drivers are seeing slightly higher prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

Gas stations along the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway have jumped 3 cents in the past week to $3.39 for a gallon of regular gasoline. Those prices will remain in place for a week under the terms of a contract with the Turnpike Authority.

NewJerseyGasPrices.com says the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in New Jersey today is $3.39. Meanwhile, the national average price is $3.57.

Experts say gas prices could continue to rise in coming weeks as the summer driving season heats up and consumer demand grows higher.
