EDISON - After dropping for more than a month, gas prices around the Garden State are seemingly flat.

The average for a gallon of regular gasoline in New Jersey is $3.30, according to the latest AAA Fuel Gauge report. The cheapest gas in the state has been reported at $3.11 a gallon in several towns.

Today's national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.35. This is 59 cents cheaper than the year-to-date peak price of $3.94 in early April.

Lower crude oil prices stemming from economic concerns both at home and abroad have been the primary reason for the steady decline in retail gasoline prices.
