EDISON - Farmers around the Garden State welcomed the heavy rains yesterday after a seemingly endless span of hot, hazy and humid weather.
Rainfall in parts of northern New Jersey reached more than 4 inches during yesterday?s storms.
Farmers at the Edison farmer?s market said reservoirs were 3 inches below normal levels, causing some concern for upcoming crops.
?When we get rain we are really happy and it's just hitting right at the critical time,? said Carol Davis, of the Stony Hill Gardens Farm.
