HACKENSACK - A wheelchair bound man from Long Island has made a cross-country journey in his wheelchair.

Gabriel Cordell set off on his 3,100 mile journey from the west coast on April 1. This weekend, he rolled through New Jersey before finishing his trip in his hometown of West Hempstead, New York.

The 42-year-old was paralyzed following a car crash in 1992. Cordell says he hopes his journey will help inspire people across the country. He is expected to be the subject of a documentary titled: “Roll With Me: A Journey Across America.”
