TOMS RIVER - (AP) - A Navy SEAL killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan has been laid to rest with full military honors inhis New Jersey hometown.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Denis Miranda of Toms River was buriedThursday at Ocean County Memorial Park.

The 24-year-old was among nine Americans who died when thechopper went down in southern Afghanistan on Sept. 21. It was theworst coalition helicopter crash in Afghanistan in four years.

Miranda's flag-draped casket was carried to the gravesite bymembers of his SEAL team.

Capt. Tim Szymanski, commodore of Naval SpecialWarfare Group Two, eulogized him as "a man who lived his life forthe cause greater than himself."
