HOLMDEL - A funeral was held today for a 4-year-old boy killed Friday in a hit-and-run.

Kyrillos Gendy, of South Amboy, died after being hit by a car while crossing the street in Staten Island with his mother and older sister. Mourners say they're supporting the boy's family and hope they get justice.

John Sanjurjo, the alleged hit-and-run driver, pleaded not guilty to leaving the scene of an accident.

Gendy’s funeral was held at the St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church in Holmdel.
