MONTCLAIR - A fundraiser was held Sunday following a fire at the Montclair Animal Shelter.

The Pound in Our Town fundraiser was held to benefit the eight dogs and 25 cats that have been in foster homes since last Sunday's fire.

Officials hope the unaffected part of the shelter will be safe enough to open after air quality tests.

The shelter needs more than $200,000 to rebuild kennels for the animals. About $40,000 has been raised so far.
