A community came together Monday in Freehold to raise money for injured teen hockey player Mike Nichols and his family.

The event was held at iPlay America, where merchandise went up for auction and ticket sales were donated to the Nichols family.

Mike is paralyzed after breaking his neck during a hockey game in January.
