CARTERET - The icy temperatures gripping the Garden State stalled some firefighters in Carteret from extinguishing a warehouse fire this morning.

Crews were working to secure a water supply to douse the flames coming from a building on Roosevelt Avenue when they realized the hydrant was frozen.

The firefighters managed to get water from another hydrant and moved quickly to put the fire out. Officials say problems persisted when that hydrant broke after the fire was extinguished.

No one was hurt in the fire.
