NEW BRUNSWICK - A friend of Dharun Ravi says the former Rutgers student told her there was going to be a viewing party of his roommate's intimate encounter with another man.

Michelle Huang told jurors this morning that Ravi told her about the video feed on Sept. 21, 2010, the same day he's accused of attempting to spy on his roommate, Tyler Clementi. Huang, a student at Cornell University said Ravi encouraged her to watch a live stream of Tyler Clementi and a male guest. Text messages that Ravi sent to Huang were also read, including texts containing comments about Clementi being gay.

Clementi committed suicide a day after the initiate encounter.

Ravi faces 15 counts, including invasion of privacy and bias intimidation, a hate crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison. He isn't charged in Clementi's death.
