JERSEY CITY - Crews are working to put a train back on the tracks after it derailed in Jersey City Saturday morning.

Four cars of the freight train were knocked off the tracks in the area of Newark and Division avenues.

The train was headed to Bergen from Oak Island, New York.

News 12 spoke with a witness who was completing a service project at a nearby park when she and others heard a large crash. The witness alerted police.

Authorities say there were no injuries and no threat to the public.
