UNION TOWNSHIP - Freezing rain made for a slippery and dangerous ride across New Jersey Friday.

Numerous accidents were reported on roads across the state, including two deadly crashes.

New Jersey State Police says troopers responded to more than 250 motor vehicle crash calls statewide since 7 a.m.

Transportation Department crews were treating New Jersey's major highways before the freezing rain started to fall.
