EDISON - Officials in Middlesex County are being accused of a cover-up after freeholders allegedly used on-duty workers for political purposes.

A passerby told Kane in Your Corner that they saw a commercial being shot on Sept. 2 at Roosevelt Park in Edison. The commercial featured freeholders and law enforcement officers. Middlesex County rules state that it would be acceptable, provided the workers were on their own time.

A Kane in Your Corner investigation found that timecards in Middlesex County had been altered, which could suggest an attempt to cover something up.
