FREEHOLD - Students at Freehold High School are hitting the Internet with a petition demanding a prize they say they won fair and square.

The students won a radio contest on 92.3 NOW FM. Their prize was a free performance by Cher Lloyd, a 2010 X-Factor UK finalist and singer of the hit song "Want U Back." But a district school policy states that concerts are prohibited from being held on school grounds. Like Us on Facebook

The students formed an online petition asking district officials to change the rules and give the thumbs-up for the concert.

So far, they have more than 600 signatures.

The students are still awaiting a response from the district.
