NEWARK - A 20-year holiday tradition for a Newark fraternity helps children and their families.

While Phi Beta Sigma’s community service goes beyond Christmas, members take the time to make every child and family feel special during the holidays.

This year, they served hot meals to more than 300 families on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, in addition to giving away 2,000 brand-new toys to kids.

About 100 people volunteered for the event, and they plan on continuing the tradition for years to come.
