FRANKLIN - Students at Franklin High School are mourning after one of their own died in a crash yesterday.

Abel Palomo died Tuesday morning while riding in a car driven by another student.

Investigators say the driver lost control of his car and slid under the front of a truck.

Two other students suffered serious injuries and were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

A memorial service for Palomo will be held Friday at Crabiel Park West Funeral Chapel in New Bruswick from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Palomo's funeral will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bayard Street Presbyterian Church in New Brunswick.
