Formula One race coming to Hudson County in 2013

WEEHAWKEN - Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) and auto racing officials announced today that a Formula One Grand Prix auto race will be held in Hudson County in 2013.

Port Imperial Boulevard was renamed the Grand Prix on the Hudson in honor of the upcoming event.

More than 100,000 racing fans are expected to attend, which will bring big bucks to New Jersey. However, some are questioning whether this is the best course for the region. Hundreds of thousands of people live here and there are safety concerns. Officials say this is the best thought-out project to ever come to the region.
