EDISON - Cloudy skies have developed over the Garden State, and wet weather is expected for New Jersey over the next few days.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers says that Thursday saw temperatures in the upper-60s and low-70s and that temperatures should cool overnight.

The overnight hours should see increased cloud coverage with some light rain possible after midnight. Temperatures should cool into the 50s.

Friday is expected to see rain for most of the day. Powers says that there could be some strong wind gusts and thunderstorms are possible. Temperatures are expected to reach the low-70s.

Saturday should see mostly cloudy skies with light rain showers possible. Temperatures should reach the low-60s.

Temperatures are expected to drop significantly on Sunday with highs only reaching the mid-40s. Snow flurries are also possible.
