EDISON - Cloudy skies and damp conditions continue in the Garden State with a slight reprieve expected later in the week.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that temperatures should continue to remain below average for the next day or so, but could warm up by the weekend.

Wednesday should see mostly cloudy skies with the possibility of some scattered rain showers. High temperatures should be around 63 degrees.

Thursday is expected to stay mostly cloudy with some scattered rain possible. Temperatures may reach the mid-60s.

Curren says that the best day of the week should be Saturday, with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the low-70s. Rain is possible late in the day.
