EDISON - New Jersey saw a day of beautiful sunshine Tuesday, but temperatures made it seem as if it was a sunny winter’s day instead of early spring.

Those colder temperatures are expected to stick around for Wednesday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that the National Weather Service issued a freeze warning in the state for the overnight hours until around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Temperatures overnight could get down into the 20s and teens. The skies should remain mostly clear.

Wednesday should start off mostly sunny, but clouds could develop in the afternoon. Temperatures should reach the mid- to upper-40s. The overnight house should see mostly cloudy skies with light rain.

Thursday is expected to see off-and-on rain showers with periods of clouds. Temperatures may warm into the low-60s.
