EDISON - When the Baltimore Ravens take on the San Francisco 49rs on Sunday, the weather will be the least of their concerns. Super Bowl XLVII is taking place in the New Orleans Superdome.
But when asked about next year's event being held at MetLife Stadium, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco called the move "stupid."
Addressing the press, Flacco said "I think it's stupid. If you want a Super Bowl, put a retractable dome on your stadium. Then you can get one."
The comments aren't sitting well with some New Jersey football fans, with many telling News 12 New Jersey that football players need to "man up" because "real football is played in the cold."
The coldest temperature recorded during a Super Bowl kickoff was 39 degrees in 1972.
