Floods force students in Paterson to relocate

PATERSON - Paterson school officials say the first floor classrooms were flooded out at School Number 4. Crews are still working to clear out the building.

Teachers from School Number 4 had to go to School Number 27 to prepare for classes. The first day of classes for students from School Number 4 is now scheduled for September 12.

Students from Kindergarten to 6th grade will relocate to St. Mary's on Sherman Avenue. Students from Grades 7 and 8 will be relocated to 137 Ellison Street.

Buses will be provided at School Number 4 to take the students to the other schools.

The Brownstone School in Saddle Brook, part of Bergen County Special Services has also been temporarily relocated due to flooding. Classes have been moved to The Gateway School on Main Street in Hackensack.
