Flooding problems continue in Lincoln Park

LINCOLN PARK - People living in parts of northern New Jersey continue to deal with floodwaters after a getting slammed with more than 3 inches of rain on Sunday.

Flood warnings remain in effect for the Pompton, Pequannock, Passaic, Ramapo and Rockaway rivers.

More than 40 Pompton Lakes residents were evacuated early yesterday from their homes along the Ramapo River. Evacuations of several families also were enforced in Lincoln Park and Hillsdale.

Residents in those areas told News 12 New Jersey that with more rain possible for later this week, they fear the flooding could get worse.
