FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP - Many across the Garden State are still recovering after heavy rains soaked the area this week.

Some drivers in Franklin Township lost their cars to the rising floodwaters. 

Several cars became stuck under water on Blackwells Mills and Canal roads. The flooding happened in the area of the Delaware and Raritan Canal.

State officials are monitoring the area and waiting for the water to recede.
