PATERSON - Morning rain led to a flash flood through the streets of Paterson, trapping cars in the road and damaging neighborhood homes.

Local residents say floods occur anytime there are downpours that last a few minutes.

News 12 New Jersey reported on the flooding problem in Paterson in July and highlighted the city’s clogged sewer drains.

In July, city officials said they were looking into the problem, but warned that a long-term solution would take time and funding.
