EAST ORANGE - A flash flood caused headaches for holiday weekend travelers along the Garden State Parkway in East Orange Sunday evening.

The flooding was reported near exit 147, causing congestion and delays.

At least one driver had to be rescued from their car.

A flash flood advisory had been issued for parts of the state this evening.
