Flags to fly at half-staff in honor of fallen Marine

MANCHESTER - Flags will fly at half-staff today in honor of a fallen Marine from Manchester.

Cpl. Nicholas Ott was serving in Afghanistan when he was killed last week.

Hundreds gathered yesterday at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home for his wake.

The 23-year-old graduated from Manchester High School. Ott joined the Marine Corps in 2007 and was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division in Hawaii in 2010.

Ott was awarded two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals during his service.
