LINCOLN PARK - Firefighters struggled to battle a fire inside a home in a flooded section of Lincoln Park this morning, authorities said.

Officials say the fire broke out at around 7:30 a.m. at the home on Lincoln Boulevard and Kopp Street, near a flooded section of the borough where the Passaic and Pompton rivers converge.

Fire boats from several departments were called in to help extinguish the blaze. The boats were pumping water from the flood into their fire hoses.
