TOTOWA - Firefighters responded to a house fire in Totowa this morning.

The fire started early Thursday morning at a home on Riverview Drive.

The front side of the house suffered extensive damage due to the flames.

Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire.

News 12 is told everyone in the home made it out safely, including the family's cat. The American Red Cross is helping them with temporary housing and other needs.
