HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP - Firefighters rescued nearly 20 puppies overnight from a burning home in Hopewell Township.

Emergency crews pulled the animals from the Pennington Road home and began to administer emergency medical care using "K9 masks." The masks were donated by the Humane Society to local emergency responders.

One of the puppies reportedly died as a result of injuries sustained from the fire.

No other injuries were reported and investigators are still working to determine how the fire started.
