Firefighters injured in Elizabeth 3-alarm fire

Two firefighters with minor injuries were transported from the scene of a three-alarm fire at a home in Elizabeth. (3/5/14)

ELIZABETH - Two firefighters with minor injuries were transported from the scene of a three-alarm fire at a home in Elizabeth. 

Fire crews knocked down the fire at a two-story house on Union Avenue just before 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Two plumbers and the owner of the home were inside when the fire started just before 1:30 p.m. They were able to escape unharmed.

Officials have not released any information on the cause of the fire. 

There were no other reported injuries.
