Firefighters battle stubborn Paterson blaze

Fire crews battled a fire at a factory on George Street in Paterson Wednesday night. (2/6/14)

PATERSON - Firefighters in Paterson worked through the night pouring water on hot spots after a stubborn fire in a commercial building.

The fire broke out in an industrial building on George Street just before 10 p.m. yesterday.

Witnesses told News 12 New Jersey the fire could be seen as far as Clifton and Totowa.

Fire officials say the blaze has consumed a three-story building that housed several businesses.

No injuries were reported and nearby homes were not evacuated.
